Telehouse’s NYIIX Peering Enhanced with Thunderbird Route Servers

TELEHOUSE announced at NANOG 62 today the recent launch of Thunderbird Router Servers, further enhancing the overall value of New York International Internet Exchange (NYIIX), the company’s extended New York peering network. By introducing Thunderbird to NYIIX, members are now able to instantly connect and exchange traffic. Additionally, Thunderbird allows members a reduced ramp up time when setting up peering connections.

Since its inception in 1996, NYIIX is New York’s largest and most active peering exchange. Data center- and carrier-neutral with over 130 members, NYIIX offers the most comprehensive membership list in New York peering market.
