Zayo Recognized as Colorado’s Top Telecom Company in 2012 by ColoradoBiz Magazine

Zayo has been recognized as Colorado’s Top Telecom Company in 2012 by ColoradoBiz Magazine. After being selected as a top-three finalist in early August, Zayo was chosen as the winner of the Telecom category at the Top Company Awards celebration on September 12.

Each firm was judged on three criteria: financial performance, community involvement and outstanding achievement in areas such as product innovation, operational excellence or marketing effectiveness. Zayo was awarded the top telecom company due to its track record of continual financial and network growth and notable achievements in each of the judging areas.

Since its inception in 2006, Zayo has grown to nearly $1B in revenue and its network spans approximately 68,500 route miles in 45 states and Washington D.C. Zayo has established itself as a prominent company in Colorado, and its community outreach efforts provide support to numerous causes and organizations. Dan Caruso, President and CEO of Zayo Group, is actively involved at the University of Colorado – Boulder where co-teaches a class on venture capital and private equity in the Leeds MBA Program.
