Zayo Group has implemented a dedicated fiber network for Meridian Joint School District in Idaho providing a 100 megabit Ethernet service to forty-nine schools and administration buildings. Meridian Joint School District serves over 35,000 students and more than 2,500 employees.

The Meridian School District network encompasses forty-nine sites connected across six fiber rings. It adds 46 route miles to Zayo’s network footprint in the Boise metropolitan area, which spans 175 on-net buildings and 182 route miles of fiber. The scalable, Gigabit Ethernet network enables knowledge-sharing by delivering connectivity and digital voice access to Meridian, a large and fast-growing public school district in Idaho. Additionally, the new dedicated Ethernet network is a private network, ensuring the protection of data throughout the district.
