Zayo Expands EAGLE-Net Alliance’s Network Capabilities in Colorado

Zayo Group has signed a second agreement with EAGLE-Net Alliance to expand its network capabilities throughout Colorado. The addition of this agreement brings the total fiber footprint Zayo provides EAGLE-Net in Colorado and Wyoming to nearly 675 miles. EAGLE-Net is a Colorado intergovernmental entity which operates a cost-sharing cooperative procuring and distributing high speed broadband services to more than 230 community anchor institutions.

This network expansion includes 162 miles of fiber connecting locations from Denver to Burlington in Eastern Colorado. As the terms of EAGLE-Net’s BTOP infrastructure grant mandates the statewide network be complete by August 31, 2013, this IRU with Zayo will help fulfill part of these requirements effectively.

Zayo owns and operates 2,421 miles of dark and lit metro fiber throughout the Rocky Mountain region including Utah, Wyoming, Colorado and New Mexico.  For more information on Zayo’s network, visit www.zayo.com.
