One of the major product advancements we made this year was addressing the DAS Near-Far problem,” explains Scott Goodrich, President of Westell’s In-Building Wireless (IBW) Group. “Westell’s ClearLink DAS mitigates Near-Far signal degradation and associated performance issues found in conventional DAS networks.” The technology advancements made by Westell to address the Near-Far issue have gained recognition within the in-building wireless DAS community. In part, Westell has been chosen as a CTIA Emerging Technology Award finalist in the “In-Building Wireless — Small Cell, Wi-Fi, LAN” category. Dozens of industry experts, reporters, and analysts judged and scored hundreds of entries to determine the finalists.
