Welcome Telecom Italia Sparkle to its New Corporate Digs in NYC

TNN is on the road again - and this time JSA was honored to be invited by our old friend, Saverio Guerriero, the CTO of Telecom Italia Sparkle North America (TISNA), to a very exclusive office unveiling.

In true Italian elegance, the elevators of a Manhattan skyscraper opened to the 38th floor, showcasing a wonderful new office space, with jaw-dropping views of the city skyline.  The office was furnished with red leather couches, white chairs, white desks, and slick monitors and state-of-the art technology. Clean, crisp and elegant- the white decor and fabulous photography framed along the walls (photography provided by TISNA's very own Maria Grazia Facciola, the company's Marketing Analyst and a wonderful photographer in her own right: www.mgfoto.com) illustrated TISNA's style, grace and team dedication.  I should note that the company has had a NYC presence for some time, but this new office space was nothing short of remarkable.

Ok so now that I hopefully set the stage for you, I will tell you my real interest in attending- -vs. just checking out the very cool office unveiling (did I mention?)-- I wanted to know more about TISNA.  The screens with rolling video, and my gracious host Saverio, helped immediately to catch me up-to-date.  First on my radar: the global network map.  TIS is now in 38 countries and a headcount of over 1000 team members.  Perhaps because I always focus on "Italia"-- the land of my father--  when I hear TIS' name- I assumed the company had reach in Europe and US but didn't realize how truly global the network stretched, including South America, Africa, the Mideast and Asia, literally creating a ring around the globe.

I was also introduced to many of the company's corporate customers, mobile operators and carrier c-levels who were also present for the unveiling.  No matter what type of customer I spoke to, the words "reliable" and "scalable" kept coming into the conversation when discussing their service offerings, notably voice, data and Internet solutions.  And perhaps these words were echoed often because (little did I know) their network is bilateral connecting TIS with virtually every country worldwide.

My last impression was of the team members.  Each TISNAer greeted me as an old friend, wanting to know about my family, my company, my ideas for telecom and marketing.  Each TISNAer treated me like I was home- a feeling hard to describe until you have the rare pleasure of encountering it at a unique corporate gathering such as this one.  Thank you to my welcoming hosts (check out the pic above) and for inviting me to this wonderful event.

So my parting thought as I pressed the elevator button to go home: clearly this is a company to continue to watch closely.  With their network, reliability and team, they have all the right ingredients for success.  Oh- and a cool office space too! :)
