Minnesota is a new area of expansion for ViaWest, with the company having announced in May that it is building a 150,000 square foot Tier IV design-certified colocation data center in a Minneapolis suburb. That facility is scheduled to be completed in the first quarter of 2014. Meester will lead the development and growth of ViaWest’s market expansion in the Minnesota region. “Todd’s deep roots in the local technology community and his knowledge of the Minnesota region make him a great addition to our team,” stated [Christopher Rajiah](http://www.viawest.com/about-viawest/our-people/management%23ChrisRajiah), Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at ViaWest. Prior to ViaWest, Meester was General Manager and Regional Director of Enterprise Markets for Level 3 Communications in the Midwest, where he was responsible for growing the overall business segment and for supporting life-cycle management for medium to large enterprises. Previously, he held leadership roles with XO Communications and McLeodUSA, which included multiple years of experience in the Partner Channel. "ViaWest’s robust IT infrastructure solutions provide companies production and backup [![ViaWest Logo](https://static.hsstatic.net/BlogImporterAssetsUI/ex/missing-image.png "Logo - ViaWest")](https://blog.jsa.net/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/Logo-VW-Product-Focused-JPG-4.jpg)solutions tailored to meet their growth and compliance requirements,” remarked Meester. He added that Minneapolis is a perfect fit for ViaWest due to its mix of vertical market focus, including financial, healthcare, manufacturing and technology.
