VIAWEST INTRODUCES BIG DATA AND IT INFIRMITY INFOGRAPHICS

ViaWest today released two new infographics. The first, focused on Big Data, shows the latest statistics on how fast data is being created today, including the implications of how big data will affect data storage and business processes in the future. One key nugget from the infographic confirms that each day, 2.5 quintillion bytes of data are created – equivalent to 57.5 billion 32 GB iPads!

The second infographic focuses on IT Infirmity. This graphic covers what’s ailing a company’s IT department today and the key issues CIOs face in 2012. Some of these issues include the difficulties of finding and retaining skilled employees – in fact, 48% of CIOs today highlight this as a key challenge. Other CIO challenges noted in the infographic focus on the need to minimize IT outages and the inability to stay focused on strategic goals.
