ViaWest today extended its cloud and storage portfolios via a partnership with SolidFire, a high-performance storage expert. Using the ViaWest KINECTed Cloud™ platform, the SolidFire storage portfolio allows even the most demanding workloads to run in the cloud.

SolidFire features Solid State Drive (SSD) technology, which uses integrated circuit assemblies as memory to store data, unlike traditional magnetic disks like hard disk drives that contain spinning disks and movable read/write heads. SolidFire’s SSD technology, combined with high-efficiency storage architecture, allows for rapid provisioning of scalable, reliable storage.
