ViaWest Acquires CoreLink’s Las Vegas Data Center

Beefing up its presence in Las Vegas, ViaWest today announced it has acquired the Las Vegas data center of CoreLink Data Centers LLC. ViaWest is headquartered in Denver with critical data center infrastructure across the U.S. West, while CoreLink is headquartered in Chicago and offers a national service portfolio.

ViaWest Data Centers Managed Hosting Cloud Computing SolutionsThe CoreLink data center acquisition will double ViaWest’s total current capacity in downtown Las Vegas. Earlier this year, ViaWest announced plans to develop a 110,000-square foot facility in North Las Vegas, adding to its data center footprint. The North Las Vegas facility will be one of the greenest data centers in the country, incorporating the latest in ViaWest’s cooling technology, custom designed for the Las Vegas climate. When that facility is finished, ViaWest will offer 460,000+ square feet of raised floor data center space across 24 data centers throughout Colorado, Nevada, Oregon, Texas and Utah.

Both companies note their commitment to strong customer service as reasons for entering into the deal.
