Paper examines how to address shifts in the way networks are designed, deployed, and operated in order to fully benefit from the advantages that small cells offer
Vertix Consulting, announced the release of its new white paper entitled, “Small Cell Technology is Ready, Are Carrier Organizations?” The paper, which features Vertix’s viewpoints on small cell deployment challenges, is now available via the company’s website as a complimentary download.
The white paper’s scope includes topics such as Evolving Carrier Network Organization Capabilities;the Emergence of Multiple Vendor Models; and Realizing the Benefits of Small Cells.
“The emergence of small cells — operator-controlled, low-powered radio access nodes that operate in licensed spectrum and unlicensed carrier-grade Wi-Fi — will ultimately provide improved cellular coverage, capacity and applications for homes and enterprises as well as metropolitan and rural public spaces,”states Greg Weiner, author of the paper and Partner at Vertix Consulting. “As experts in this growth technology, the paper was written to be a key resource as small cell technology and deployment matures.”
The paper’s release coincides with an appearance by Mr. Weiner, who will bring extensive consulting and small cell strategy experience to the annual PCIA Wireless Infrastructure Show and its Colocatable Structures for Small Cells panel.
