Next up was a panel that featured the CEO’s of [Allied Fiber](http://www.alliedfiber.com/) and [Hibernia Atlantic](http://www.hiberniaatlantic.com/) speaking on the topic of Innovating Intra & Inter-Regional Connectivity. And with demand showing no signs of slowing down, the outlook at Capacity North America is positive that the need for innovative solutions will continue to grow.  Today’s panels shared predictions into where the industry is headed as well as insight into what companies are currently implementing to prepare for future growth. In the M&A panel, Glenn Russo, EVP of Corporate Strategy & Development for Zayo noted the key points about effectively executing a post-acquisition integration. Glenn included three main objectives: a company needs to move aggressively, have a strong existing platform and know what the end state is and get there quickly.  With Zayo’s experience in integrating companies, the audience was happy to gain their first-hand perspective. From Hunter Newby, CEO of Allied Fiber and Bjarni Thorvardarson, CEO of Hibernia Atlantic came additional insight into efficient innovation. When asked about the current trends, Hunter named demand for pure physical access as a key driver. This demand is strongly fueled by wireless backhaul, which is a large focus for US companies at the conference. “In order to be a bandwidth provider, you have to drive efficiency in the network, and that is where Hibernia focuses,” added Bjarni. Bjarni reaffirmed that companies need to know what they do well and stick to providing that to the best of their ability. The afternoon and rest of the conference promise to bring many more discussions about capacity demands, and while it may be a rainy day in Toronto, the future of connectivity is still shining bright.
