AboveNet,Inc., a leading provider of high bandwidth connectivity solutions, is the first ever carrier tenant to reside at the new state-of-the-art facility, ideally situated at 85 10th Avenue in the Chelsea district of Manhattan. The company’s expansion into the facility represents TELEHOUSE’s on-going commitment to bringing to its customers robust carrier neutral options and reliable solutions that combine high-performance interconnectivity options. “AboveNet is uniquely positioned to serve the high bandwidth customers located in the TELEHOUSE data centers,” said Rajiv Datta, chief operating officer at AboveNet. “Our network is specifically engineered to deliver fast, dedicated, secure connectivity to critical business locations, and we look forward to expanding our network to serve additional enterprise and carrier customers in the New York metro area.”  “TELEHOUSE's state-of the-art facilities provide a secure foundation for the finance sector’s communications,” states Noriyuki Kita, executive vice president of TELEHOUSE America.  “Clients such as AboveNet can not only house their mission-critical infrastructure components within 85 10th Avenue, as well as TELEHOUSE New York Broadway or TELEHOUSE New York Teleport, but also provide a direct link between these facilities through an ultra low-latency route for a resilient disaster recovery solution.” Carriers gain additional benefits with TELEHOUSE’s 24/7 center-based troubleshooting solutions, its Customer Assistance Center (CAC), as well as customer authorized access to their own equipment and space.  The data center also offers access to the 140+ members of TELEHOUSE’s leading New York Internet Peering Exchange.
