Telecom Trade Shows - The New Rules - Part 2

Recently we posted a blog on new rules for trade show marketing and wanted to share more tips on how to increase the effectiveness of your events. Read below for the second part of our Telecom Trade Show rules. Social Media Icon

Use social media before, during and after the event. It is a perfect tool to communicate with people who have tuned out of direct mail, email and phone calls. Social media can also help you extend the conversation you sparked up at the show. Share pictures from the show along with info on new products and product demonstrations.

Technology is everywhere, even on the trade show floor. Marketers are using iPads and TV's to enhance demonstrations. Even in a face to face situation using technology is a great tool to drive sales. Telecom Exchange has a unique exhibit floor, set up in a fish bowl style with all exhibitors receiving the same size exhibit space. Only collateral is allowed at each exhibit, creating a neutral floor where no exhibitor has an advantage over another. In many trade shows the booth with the largest display and best use of technology receive the most attention from attendees. This is what makes Telecom Exchange different from most shows.

Measuring trade show results is a must. In order to justify participating in a trade show you must prove it was worth the expense with ROI ratios, sales generated and qualified leads obtained. It is no longer enough to collect a bunch of business cards. Telecom Exchange provides an area to conduct one on one meetings that can be arranged through DealCenter. Setting up meetings with qualified leads in advance will produce more results in the long run.

Trade shows give companies the opportunity to increase business in a personal and interactive way. Through pre-show engagement and post-event follow up, participants can extend the life of the event. Even in today’s virtual world, meeting face to face at industry trade shows provides valuable benefits.  We hope these “New Rules” give you some new ideas and potentially ways to add value to the upcoming trade shows you choose to participate in.
