Mr. Weiner will share his extensive consulting experience on the show’s Colocatable Structures for Small Cells panel, taking place on May 21st from 2:30-3:30pm. The colocation of small cells requires cells to be placed in various locations based on the need for capacity and coverage, as well as the nearest consumers. This placement creates an issue as small cells are not mulit-host and will need to be placed on specialized structures with specific fittings and hardware. The panel will discuss the opportunities, issues and solutions that result from colocating small cells.
“With the upcoming wave of small cells, wireless carriers are facing a significant shift in the way networks are designed, deployed, and operated,” states Mr. Weiner. “Our upcoming white paper, which we’ll present to and share with show attendees at PCIA, addresses the uncertainty and challenges clients face in these deployments, as well as our recommendations on what steps carriers can take to proactively develop their own comprehensive small cell strategy across the enterprise.”
