Senior Strategists to Gather in NYC June 25 for DatacenterDynamics Intelligence Data Center Event

DCD Intelligence to Host Peer-Led Seminar, “Leveraging Data Center Portfolios to Mitigate Risk and Create Strategic Advantage”

We’re coming up on what will be a busy week in New York for telecom! Just one day before JSA’s Telecom Exchange event, DCD Intelligence, a division of DatacenterDynamics, will host a peer-led seminar for senior strategists titled, “Leveraging Data Center Portfolios to Mitigate Risk and Create Strategic Advantage.” The seminar will take place on Tuesday, June 25 at 200 Park Avenue in New York City.

A survey conducted in March of this year confirmed that data center owners and operators in New York and the Tri-State area are facing issues with managing cost reduction whilst maintaining service levels. Reduced CAPEX and OPEX requirements combined with risk management in the wake of natural disasters such as Hurricane Sandy are forcing data center operators in the area to re-evaluate strategic plans for their portfolio and make decisions that would have been unlikely 24 months ago.

According to results of the survey, it appears as though many operators are struggling to find a balance between cost and risk. The survey discovered that there is not always a match between what an operator would prefer to implement in order to reduce cost and what they actually implement.

The DCD Intelligence seminar will offer attendees invaluable insight into the factors that need to be addressed when balancing risk against cost in a multi-portfolio environment.

Industry-leading speakers at the event have been specifically invited based on their own experience in working through such issues from a strategic perspective. The mix of keynote sessions, case-studies and panels are all designed to help attendees with their own strategic future planning.

Part One of the agenda opens with the keynote speaker, and features other panels on “International Data Center Strategies,” while Part Two leads way into “Understanding Global Power & Network Markets.” After a lunch break, Parts Three and Four focus on "Managing Legal Compliance and Taxation Codes," and "Maximizing Business Growth Potential & Future Proofing."
