The market leader and trusted advisor within the telehealth industry announced today that it has partnered with [Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors](http://www.taps.org/) (TAPS) to offer grief counseling support services to surviving military family members at no cost. Virtual counseling services via VideoMedicine will now complement the nonprofit organization’s existing 24/7 national peer support network and grief counseling resource. Through VideoMedicine, TAPS surviving family members are able to use their mobile device, tablet or computer to access a range of mental health professionals and physicians who are lending their time, expertise and support to the organization with pro bono services. The appointments utilize VideoMedicine’s streaming video conferencing platform to provide survivors with private, confidential appointments remotely. In addition, survivors have the option to invite their own counselors, therapists and primary care physicians to join the VideoMedicine healthcare provider network, providing continuity of care and familiarity. Salus CEO Paula Guy said her company was proud to offer telemedicine services via VideoMedicine at no cost to TAPS. “Our hope is that individuals who have suffered the loss of a loved one who served in the Armed Forces will be able to utilize our platform to receive counseling in the most accessible and convenient way possible," she said.
