PacketExchange to Present on Ethernet and Cloud Computing at 2011 Ethernet Technology Summit in Santa Clara, CA

Each year, the Ethernet Technology Summit welcomes industry leaders from around the world to present a wide variety of topics surrounding the use of Ethernet. This year, as the conference takes place on February 23 and 24 in Santa Clara, California, one of those industry experts will be Grant Kirkwood, Chief Technology Officer for PacketExchange. Kirkwood will speak on Ethernet and Cloud Computing, on Thursday, February 24 from 8:30 a.m. to 10:50 a.m. PST. The session will focus on the use of Ethernet in the cloud and in delivering services.

Mr. Kirkwood, an industry leader has presented at more than a dozen conferences; most recently at Cloud Expo Europe on February 2 in London.

Ethernet Technology Summit focuses on the use of Ethernet throughout the networking space, which includes the emergence of 10-Gigabit Ethernet as a key LAN technology on the desktop and in datacenters. It also covers the ongoing standardization effort for 40-Gigabit and 100-Gigabit Ethernet, and includes the use of Ethernet as a carrier backbone and transport method, as well as in wireless, industrial, embedded, and storage applications.
