New, State-of-the-Art Cidery Relies on FirstLight for Metro Ethernet and Internet Service

FirstLight FiberFirstLight Fiber announced today that it will provide The Vermont Hard Cider Company, maker of Woodchuck Hard Cider, with Ethernet and Internet services to support the company’s growing data requirements.

The Vermont Hard Cider is the leading producer of hard cider in the U.S. and has grown out of its facility in Middlebury, Vermont. The company’s growth has required it to expand to a new state-of-the-art cidery, which requires scalable data and Internet services to accommodate the expansion.

Vermont Hard Cider will utilize FirstLight’s Ethernet Private Line (EPL) service The Vermont Cider Companyfeaturing dedicated, point-to-point Ethernet, suited for bandwidth intensive applications by offering reliable, scalable, point-to-point Ethernet connectivity. FirstLight will also provide the cidery with Internet services via its robust regional network, which is delivered to customers over its own fiber backbone.  To ensure ubiquitous access and maximum performance, FirstLight’s Internet transit is backed by a combination of Tier 1 provider connections and numerous private peering arrangements in multiple Northeastern markets.
