The carrier-neutral colocation, data center and interconnection solutions provider announced the successful completion of a 10,000-square foot (sf) expansion on the fifth floor of its 55 Marietta Street facility in downtown Atlanta. The 10,000sf build-out includes increased colocation and data center space, and many new amenities, such as: - 500KW power - 135 Tons A/C-Heat Rejection fully redundant - 2 glycol loops (green & blue) for diverse redundant feeds to all A/C units - Pre-action fire suppression system - 300sf conference room - Lobby area - Tech room - Tenant storage area ![](https://blog.jsa.net/hs-fs/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/coloatl-1.png?width=336&height=196&name=coloatl-1.png)In addition to its brand-new fifth-floor expansion, the Colo Atl facility also houses the Georgia Technology Center (GTC), a live laboratory for network equipment vendors to showcase optical and electrical hardware and operating systems; and the Southeast Network Access Point (SNAP), offering-generation Internet Exchange (IX) solutions, including SDN peering, testing, collaboration and implementation. “Our recent expansion is both a positive indicator of company growth and a testament to Colo Atl’s steadfast commitment to ensuring we continue to meet the growing colocation and interconnection needs of our enterprise and carrier customers,” states Tim Kiser, Owner and Founder of Colo Atl. “With the expansion, we not only deliver the extra space, power and amenities with no monthly recurring cross connect fees in the Colo Atl meet-me-area (MMA) and superior customer service and attention to detail, but also provide access to today’s most promising network technologies via GTC and SNAP.” Via the Colo Atl facility, SNAP offers 1Gbps and 10Gbps access ports, and both IPv4 and IPv6 peering. Route servers allow networks to simplify their peering operations, while SNAP permits other traditional peering models utilizing either user-managed peering or VLANs as needed to meet member objectives. Founded in November 2001, Colo Atl provides a reasonable, accommodating and cost-effective interconnection environment for more than 90 local, regional and global network operators.
