Hunter Newby, Allied Fiber’s CEO will be speaking at the upcoming INET New York Conference on June 14. This conference is run by the Internet Society (ISOC) and will take the form of a one-day forum titled “It’s your call. What kind of Internet do you want?" Hunter will be speaking on a panel that will discuss the future of Internet technologies. The conference’s distinguished lineup of speakers includes “Father of the Internet” Vint Cerf, World Wide Web inventor Sir Tim Berners Lee, and Assistant Secretary for Communications and Information at the U.S. Department of Commerce Lawrence Strickling. In addition to this lineup of speakers, the conference will also cover issues regarding the Internet including providing greater bandwidth and access, the role government should play and online privacy in the age of Facebook and Wikileaks.
