A new acquaintance and I had a good chuckle last night at HostingCon's 2012 opening networking reception at Boston's Hynes Convention Center. In looking around at the room at the hundreds of people (who would turn into a crowd of 1,000+ today as the exhibit floor opened), we both observed social networking at its best. We talked about how the common stereotype of "techies" as antisocial people could not be further from the truth. The room was abuzz of people meeting, greeting, exchanging ideas, introducing companies, talking about latest trends, and sharing with one another their goals of what they hoped to accomplish while at HostingCon, the premier educational and networking event for the hosted service industry.
HostingCon, brought to you by The Web Host Industry Review (WHIR) , an iNET Interactive Company, brings together the best and brightest from the industry, allowing attendees and exhibitors to educate one another on the latest news, ideas and technology affecting their businesses. This year the event celebrates its Eighth Anniversary, and projects its 2012 attendence to comprise over 2,000 Internet professionals from over 30 countries.
Exhibiting at the show is leading global data center and managed services provider (and JSA client!), TELEHOUSE America. Please be sure to visit Fred Cannone and Jim Hickey at TELEHOUSE's booth #330 on the HostingCon floor!
Lightower Fiber Networks, another esteemed JSA client and exceptional network provider, is also on site at HostingCon! The Lightower network provides connectivity between commercial buildings, data centers, carrier hotels, financial exchanges, disaster recovery centers, and central offices throughout the northeast United States.
The HostingCon event continues until tomorrow evening, July 18, when it will wrap up with a closing reception at Boston's elite Top of the Hub restaurant atop its Prudential Tower.
