Lightower Fiber Networks has been named an authorized vendor to the Massachusetts state government through the statewide ITT46 Network Services contract. The award enables Lightower to offer Ethernet, SONET, Internet Access, Colocation and Dark Fiber solutions to Massachusetts state and local government entities.
With government budgets shrinking while the demand for services continues to increase, state and local government agencies are transforming themselves to meet the demands of their constituents. Lightower’s fiber-based networking solutions are well-suited to help governments cost-effectively upgrade their network infrastructure and develop future-proof, advanced services without sacrificing flexibility or control.
“Government customers have unique requirements,” said Doug Dalissandro, EVP of Sales for Lightower. “For example, a Lightower government customer with Ethernet today can easily scale up their bandwidth, add services or move to dark fiber in the future as their needs grow.”
All Massachusetts Higher Education Consortium (MHEC) members qualify to purchase through this contract. Other government entities are also eligible, including state branches and agencies, cities, towns, counties and other states and territories.
Offering highly available, low-latency network solutions, Lightower delivers a broad portfolio of fiber-based services to governments. For more information on Lightower and Government Networking Solutions, please email government@lightower.com, visit www.lightower.com or call 888-LT-FIBER.
