Lightower Awarded GSA IT Schedule 70 Contract

Lightower Fiber Networks is now able to deliver its all-fiber network services to any federal government agency, as well as to state and local governments through a new cooperative purchasing
contract. With the award of a U.S. Government Services Administration (GSA) Multiple Award Schedule (MAS) 070 contract, Lightower is now part of a pre-approved list of technology companies for federal purchases.

Streamlining the procurement process, the new government contract ensures the GSA can meet agency-specific network requirements, as well as plan for future network growth and needs.

“Lightower has been aggressively expanding our high performance network across the Mid-Atlantic in areas like Washington, DC, Virginia, and Maryland,” stated Rob Shanahan, Chief Executive Officer of Lightower. “With the GSA Contract designation, we will be able to design and build customized fiber network solutions for federal, state and local government agencies all along this corridor.”

As part of the GSA contract, Lightower can:

• Deliver a wide variety of secure, high capacity services including dark fiber, Ethernet, wavelengths, and Internet access
• Work directly with government agencies and engineer robust network and disaster recovery solutions
• Provide all-fiber connectivity to over 250 data centers
• Establish direct connectivity to major cloud providers including Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and Office 365, through Lightower Cloud Connect solutions
