# It’s OFFICIAL! Allied Fiber Announces the launch of its Nationwide System
[](https://blog.jsa.net/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/AF-Exec-Team-with-Jeri-Muoio.jpg)Allied Fiber celebrated the official launch of Allied Fiber’s National System Phillips Point Club in West Palm Beach, FL on November 13, 2013. The event started with tours of its West Palm Beach colo facility, the first colo facility installed in the Miami to Jacksonville Segment, and was capped off with a presentation on the benefits Allied Fiber brings to the State of Florida and a luncheon. Nearly 100 guests attended, which was made up of local and state government officials, industry media representatives, investors, vendors, and customers.
“The City of West Palm Beach is honored to be the first city to house an Allied Fiber colo facility,” says Jeri Muoio, Mayor of West Palm Beach. “Everything that Allied Fiber has accomplished so far in the State of Florida is just the beginning of what is to come for this country. From a local perspective, the planning and construction of the colo facility and fiber jetting has already positively impacted West Palm Beach’s economy. We anticipate even greater economic growth as Allied Fiber continues to install fiber throughout our state and around the rest of the U.S.”
PCIA, The Wireless Infrastructure Association, recently reported that wireless infrastructure could be the key to the economic growth of the United States. The report foresees that wireless infrastructure could be responsible for a 2.2% increase in GDP by 2017 and goes on to predict the wireless infrastructure industry creating 28,000 jobs in 2017 alone and over 122,000 jobs in the infrastructure industry within the next five years. Total job growth is expected to surpass 253,000 nationwide by 2017 ([“Wireless Broadband Infrastructure: A Catalyst for GDP and Job Growth 2013-2017”](http://www.pcia.com/images/IAE_Infrastructure_and_Economy.pdf)). With its new dark fiber infrastructure open to all network operators, Allied Fiber will provide the vehicle for the economic growth and employment projected by PCIA.
