Home to the Most Compact 100G Platforms in the Market, PacketLight Networks Introduces the PL-1000TE

PacketLight Networks Ltd., a leading developer of CWDM/DWDM and OTN transport devices, announced this week the launch of PL-1000TE, a new low latency, multirate/multi-protocol optical transponder platform that provides high capacity optical transport solution for rates ranging from 100Mbps up to 16Gbps  in a single 1RU unit.

The PL-1000TE has eight low-latency, user-configurable, multirate ports and is the latest addition to PacketLight’s 1RU WDM offering, which already includes the most compact 100G platforms in the market.

“The PL-1000TE’s unique architecture couples high optical transport capacity, rich optical transport features with sub microsecond end to end latency,” states PacketLight CEO Koby Reshef.  “It is a perfect platform for data center connectivity, cloud computing and broad range of enterprise applications that require reliable optical transport solution with flexible mix of services.”

The PL-1000TE CWDM/DWDM  supports a variety of services, including Gigabit Ethernet (GbE), 10GbE, 1/2/4/8/10/16G Fibre Channel, CPRI, SD/HD-SDI, and OC-3/12/48/192 (STM-1/4/16/64).
