Global Capacity continues to put new and experienced talent in key positions within the company. In August, the company announced the appointment of Greg Hough to lead its newly formed Global Network Strategy team and brought onboard Gavin McCarty as General Counsel. Its most recent move makes Craig Magerkurth its new CTO. Craig joins Global Capacity directly from the Rise Group, where as Vice President of Technology programs, he had oversight of network and video surveillance programs such as Operation Virtual Shield, a Homeland Defense initiative in Chicago.
Craig brings over 18 years of experience in developing, building and managing complex technology based solutions for multiple industries. His specific expertise in telecommunications pricing systems, network optimization tools, data analytics ensure the on-going success of One Marketplace Access Exchange. Prior to the Rise Group, Craig was program manager at Universal Access, where he managed the initial build out of the Universal Transport Exchanges (UTX), and was instrumental in the development and deployment of the Universal Information Exchange (UIX) and Universal Solutions Exchange (USX). Through merger, these solutions ultimately became key components to what today is Global Capacity’s One Marketplace Access Exchange.
