The MEF launched its Carrier Ethernet 2.0 certification program in April 2012. After a successful “CE 1.0 Certification” program, the MEF began the CE 2.0 certification last year to focus on a longer list of critical attributes. CE 2.0 expands the certification to address class of service, manageability and interconnect for four service types that include E-LINE, E-LAN, E-TREE and E-ACCESS.
