TNCI Operating Company LLC, a leading national telecommunications provider, today announced Dr. Blaine Gilles as its new SVP of Network Services.
Earlier this year, TNCI announced its acquisition of UPH which included Pac-West Telecomm Inc. The move increased its network footprint in the nine states throughout the Western United States, giving TNCI one of the most dense retail and wholesale networks in the region; confirming that TNCI is well on its way to becoming a national telecommunications Tier 1 provider of retail and wholesale services.
Dr. Gilles is the perfect selection to oversee TNCI’s significantly increased network. During his career, he has served as the General Manager of a nationally-recognized CLEC, headed the voice business unit of one of the largest wholesale carriers in the United States, and acted as COO of a VOIP switching company. Additionally, Dr. Gilles has been an expert witness on behalf of the United States Securities and Exchange Commission, Ameritech Corporation, and provided management consulting services to numerous private equity and telecom carrier clients.
Dr. Gilles’ experience with WilTel further highlights his capability and expertise as the SVP of Network Services at TNCI. He led WilTel’s Voice Services business unit from inception to generating well over $1 billion in annual revenue. This included the deployment of a of service infrastructure that enabled WilTel to provide long distance to more than 25 million end users in under four years.
In his new role, Dr. Gilles will oversee all network deployment, planning and operations for TNCI.
