The addition of all major CDNs means the delivery of key content to the company’s New York exchange. Just like other communities, the more participants an Internet exchange has, the more value each participant derives from it. Content Delivery Networks carry billions of packets of Internet content including video, music, business data and website content, and now more than ever deliver a large percentage of overall traffic, making them invaluable for exchanges. [![images](https://blog.jsa.net/hs-fs/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/images.jpeg?width=284&height=177&name=images.jpeg)](https://blog.jsa.net/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/images.jpeg) “Internet traffic is more concentrated in CDNs than ever before,” says Frank Orlowski, Chief Marketing Officer at DE-CIX. “Internet traffic is still growing exponentially, and CDNs strategically place hundreds of servers worldwide to deliver content as fast as possible to end users. As we continue to grow, the CDNs that joined us bring attractive sources of the content that users download the most. Major Internet service providers that connect end users will now connect to DE-CIX New York in order to deliver the highest-quality user experience.” The news comes on the heels of a [successful first year](https://nyc.de-cix.net/news/latest-news/news/article/de-cix-new-york-completes-first-year-with-strong-results-1/) for the New York exchange, which has added more than 80 new customer networks and delivers across more than 110 access points.
