DE-CIX New York Expands into Telx’s NYC1 and NYC2 Data Centers

DE-CIX New York, a carrier- and data center-neutral Internet exchange (IX or IXP) distributed across major carrier hotels and data centers throughout the New York/New Jersey metro, today announced its expansion into two of Telx’s New York City metro data centers, NYC1 and NYC2. The exchange’s presence in NYC1, recognized as one of the most important interconnection and colocation facilities globally, and NYC2, a premier North American data center, marks a milestone for DE-CIX’s growth in the region.

This expansion into Telx’s data centers enables DE-CIX to support a larger customer base. DE-CIX will offer Internet Service Providers (ISPs), carriers and other Telx customers additional opportunities for network management by expanding peeringto multinational enterprises, increasing options for the low-latency transfer of data, as well as business continuity via a single cross connect at both locations.
