Announced today, DE-CIX will soon establish Internet exchanges across the U.S. with its first stop in NYC.  This new ‘gaming-changing’ [![DE-CIX](https://blog.jsa.net/hs-fs/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/DE-CIX-logo.png?width=151&height=110&name=DE-CIX-logo.png "DE-CIX logo")](http://www.de-cix.net)carrier neutral Internet exchange is slated to boost the nation’s digital infrastructure.  As an expert in operating successful Internet exchanges and peering hubs, DE-CIX will deploy a similar open model for its newest high capacity interconnection.  This model is different than current US exchanges as the DE-CIX model will incorporate Ethernet switching fabric, along with an all-fiber optical backbone enabling carriers, services providers and enterprises with numerous technical advantages.  Capabilities are endless for the new NYC exchange, with its ability to support traffic volumes of up to several Terabits per second across multiple data centers and key locations within the metro regions. Where will DE-CIX expand next?  Harald A. Summa, CEO for DE-CIX says that Silicon Valley and Los Angeles are the next stops for its new carrier neutral exchanges, further elevating their places in the global communications marketplace. “NYC is home to a huge concentration of ISPs, including broadband providers, content companies and a thriving and growing tech community,” continues Summa. “Establishing and developing the new exchange will go far in elevating New York’s reputation as one of the world’s great technology hubs, in addition to its other first-rate attributes. DE-CIX’s new exchange in New York will be operational soon, while we are also planning for deployments in Silicon Valley and Los Angeles. DE-CIX will help these selected cities to grow their role as Internet hubs and finally achieve the major role they deserve in the global Internet ecosystem.” DE-CIX successfully operates and manages Internet exchanges throughout the globe, including UAE-IX in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE), which recently announced [record growth](http://www.de-cix.net/news-events/latest-news/news/article/uae-ix-internet-exchange-announces-record-growth-1/); and DE-CIX in Frankfurt, Germany.  For more information and to read the full press release, please visit [www.de-cix.net](http://www.de-cix.net) [content provider](https://blog.jsa.net/blog/tag/content-provider), [data center expansion](https://blog.jsa.net/blog/tag/data-center-expansion), [DE-CIX](https://blog.jsa.net/blog/tag/de-cix), [Ethernet Metro Exchange](https://blog.jsa.net/blog/tag/ethernet-metro-exchange), [European Service Provider](https://blog.jsa.net/blog/tag/european-service-provider), [Internet](https://blog.jsa.net/blog/tag/internet), [internet traffic](https://blog.jsa.net/blog/tag/internet-traffic-2), [IP Exchange](https://blog.jsa.net/blog/tag/ip-exchange), [IP Solutions](https://blog.jsa.net/blog/tag/ip-solutions), [IP transit](https://blog.jsa.net/blog/tag/ip-transit), [network growth](https://blog.jsa.net/blog/tag/network-growth), [network provider](https://blog.jsa.net/blog/tag/network-provider), [Metro Ethernet Exchange](https://blog.jsa.net/blog/tag/metro-ethernet-exchange), [metro market](https://blog.jsa.net/blog/tag/metro-market), [Middle East](https://blog.jsa.net/blog/tag/middle-east), [Broadband](https://blog.jsa.net/blog/tag/broadband), [broadband](https://blog.jsa.net/blog/tag/broadband-2), [Ethernet](https://blog.jsa.net/blog/tag/ethernet), [bandwidth](https://blog.jsa.net/blog/tag/bandwidth), [big data](https://blog.jsa.net/blog/tag/big-data), [broadband connections](https://blog.jsa.net/blog/tag/broadband-connections), [broadband infrastructure](https://blog.jsa.net/blog/tag/broadband-infrastructure), [carrier-neutral exchange](https://blog.jsa.net/blog/tag/carrier-neutral-exchange), [carriers](https://blog.jsa.net/blog/tag/carriers), [Bandwidth Infrastructure](https://blog.jsa.net/blog/tag/bandwidth-infrastructure-2), [Data Center](https://blog.jsa.net/blog/tag/data-center), [Data Center Connectivity](https://blog.jsa.net/blog/tag/data-center-connectivity-2), [global expansion](https://blog.jsa.net/blog/tag/global-expansion), [Global Telecommunications](https://blog.jsa.net/blog/tag/global-telecommunications), [Harald A.
