carrier neutral Internet exchange is slated to boost the nation’s digital infrastructure. As an expert in operating successful Internet exchanges and peering hubs, DE-CIX will deploy a similar open model for its newest high capacity interconnection. This model is different than current US exchanges as the DE-CIX model will incorporate Ethernet switching fabric, along with an all-fiber optical backbone enabling carriers, services providers and enterprises with numerous technical advantages. Capabilities are endless for the new NYC exchange, with its ability to support traffic volumes of up to several Terabits per second across multiple data centers and key locations within the metro regions.
