Located at 760 West Peachtree Street NW, [ATL1](https://www.databank.com/data-centers/atlanta/) is part of the [CODA](https://codatechsquare.com/) development, a 645,000 square-foot, mixed-use office complex under construction in the Georgia Institute of Technology’s “Tech Square”, with the goal of creating a vibrant tech ecosystem. DataBank’s ATL1, a 94,000 square-f[![](https://blog.jsa.net/hs-fs/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/atl1-300x158.png?width=300&height=158&name=atl1-300x158.png)](https://blog.jsa.net/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/atl1.png)oot data center will serve as a High-Performance Computing Center (HPCC) for Georgia Tech and will house the Southern Crossroads Internet2 network node, providing high-speed, high bandwidth connectivity to research and education sites throughout the region and across the nation. > “The facility was built to meet Georgia Tech’s burgeoning high-performance computing needs, as well as to provide the adjacent CODA community direct access to fiber networks, proprietary datasets, and GT’s world class technical expertise,” comments DataBank CEO, Raul Martynek. “This dynamic project is DataBank’s first in the Atlanta market, and we are excited to be part of this growing technology ecosystem.” The purpose-built facility is carrier and network neutral, with diverse points of entry, private custom suites, cages and cabinets, 19.8 kVA of utility power, on-site 24/7 security and support and will be compliant with GDPR Privacy Shield, PCI-DSS, HIPAA, & SSAE-18 standards.  The three story above grade structure of steel and reinforced concrete floors will provide approximately 40,000 square feet of data center floor space. Atlanta’s strategic location in the Southeast, coupled with rich connectivity options and reasonable power costs, make it an area of dynamic growth. “We couldn’t be more honored to be part of such a significant project here in Midtown Atlanta.  Georgia Tech has truly pioneered a place where fortune meets university talent, collaborative research and true innovation,” comments Brandon Peccoralo, DataBank’s General Manager of ATL1. “We are proud to unveil Atlanta’s latest world-class data center to create Tech Square 2.0”. With ATL1, DataBank expands its data centers into nine markets, including the pending acquisition of [LightBound](https://www.databank.com/press-releases/databank-announces-acquisition-of-indianapolis-based-lightbound/) in Indianapolis.
