High Performance Computing Center Underway And Big Presence at Upcoming DICE Conference

DataBank is making an impact in Atlanta in a big way. As a provider of enterprise-class data center, cloud and interconnection services, the company is in the epicenter of growth within the region. With its development of a 94,000 square foot data center, ATL1, DataBank is powering research, development and education institutions with high capacity and secure infrastructure. As a High Performance Computing Center (HPCC), ATL1 will host anchor-tenant Georgia Institute of Technology and will also house the Southern Crossroads (SOX) Internet2 node. The HPCC project, spearheaded by Georgia Tech, creates public-private collaboration leveraging Georgia Tech students, faculty and knowledge to solve real world business problems. Leveraging Georgia Tech's fleet of super computers, researchers will have direct, high-speed fiber access to unique datasets located inside the HPCC.

In addition, DataBank’s CEO, Raul K. Martynek, will join a group of his executive peers on a panel at the DICE Southeast Data Center Investment Conference & Expo to be held in Atlanta, Georgia on February 27, 2018. Martynek, along with panel participants, will discuss the strategic development outlook of data centers in the Southeast region of the United States.
