Congratulations to LightRiver and all 2019 PTC Innovation Award Recipients

LightRiver takes home the 2019 PTC Innovation award for 'Best Network Intelligence Innovation'

Much excitement was in the air at the PTC'19 Innovation Awards Gala held yesterday evening as ten organizations received the honor of accepting awards in recognition of their important technology innovations. Of those ten organizations, we are proud to especially recognize our esteemed client, LightRiver, the premier provider of next generation, multi-vendor, Factory Built Networks® and netFLEX®, vendor neutral, Optical Domain Control Software solutions, for receiving the 'Best Network Intelligence Innovation' award.  The award pertains to LightRiver's netFLEX optical automation and 'waves intent based networking.'

Accepting the award was LightRiver President of Global Customer Operations, Mike Jonas, alongside LightRiver COO Travis Ewert. Shortly after the award win, Mr. Ewert posted on LinkedIn, "[I'd like to give a] shout out to the LightRiver team. PTC Innovation Awards - Best Network Intelligence Innovation [for our] netFLEX optical automation and 'Waves Intent Based Networking.' Great platform, great team..."

At the highest level - LightRiver's netFLEX was architected for full life-cycle service automation, where realtime (discovered) inventory, actionable analytics, and control automation were built for SDN abstraction of access and control of multi-vendor and multi-technology networks. This comprehensive Optical Domain Controller framework uniquely enables ‘programmability and adaptive use cases,’ where analytics trigger control-loop and visibility actions.

netFLEX (originally conceived as networkFLEXIBILITY) reflects industry differentiation around the vast number of suppliers supported ( such as Ciena, Nokia, Infinera, Cisco…etc. ), technologies supported (Waves, DCI, OTN, legacy… etc.), sheer count of elements supported (approaching 300), and broader. No other platform can claim this count and level of certifications for Discovery, Analytics, and Control, made available through uniform UI/UX and API Services – to make it ‘all look the same.’
