The company, led by telecom industry veteran [Felipe J. Alvarez](http://www.axiomfiber.com/company/management-team/), is set to offer dark fiber services and custom solutions to enterprise and carrier customers in the New York metropolitan area. Using the latest generation fiber, the 20-mile 864 strand core network deployment began in late 2014; the first stage, connecting multiple carrier hotels, is scheduled to be complete in the first quarter of 2015 with the remaining stages finalized in the second quarter.
