With over 130 members, the [Dark Fiber Community](http://dark-fiber.tmcnet.com/) serves as a portal for access to the entire industry. The Dark Fiber Community provides information and contact details for industry-leading vendors, such as Colo Atl; and the opportunity to plan one-on-one meetings with these suppliers anywhere in the world. “Colo Atl is a timely addition to the [3rd Party Colocation and Data Centers](http://dark-fiber.tmcnet.com/#3rd-Party-Colocation) sections of the Dark Fiber Community,” states Hunter Newby, Founder and CEO of Allied Fiber and Founder of the Dark Fiber Community. “Colo Atl provides convenient and affordable interconnection options via its carrier-neutral colocation facility, also while delivering innovative network technologies that exceed the objectives of not just the Dark Fiber community, but the global Internet community as a whole.” The Colo Atl facility located on the 5th and 8th floors of 55 Marietta Street in downtown Atlanta is home to the [Georgia Technology Center (GTC),](http://www.georgiatechnologycenter.com) a test bed and live production facility for network communications equipment located in the heart of network interconnections; and the [Southeast Network Access Point (SNAP)](http://www.southeastnap.com). SNAP provides next-generation Internet Exchange (IX) solutions, including SDN peering, testing and implementation. “Colo Atl is pleased to join Allied Fiber and the Dark Fiber Community, and looks forward to further extending access to the premier provider of enterprise and carrier-neutral colocation, interconnection and data center services to our fellow DFC members,” comments [Tim Kiser](http://www.coloatl.com/aboutus.php), Owner and Founder of Colo Atl. “The Colo Atl space was developed to allow tenants to efficiently cross-connect with the space, allowing them to establish a presence to network with other carriers within the building. The additional rollout of GTC and SNAP within our facility is a further testament to Colo Atl’s commitment to truly listening to what our community wants, and building upon our ‘customer first’ philosophy.” Established in November 2001, the fully built out infrastructure of the Colo Atl colocation and [Meet Me Room](http://www.coloatl.com/55marietta.php) (MMR) facility provides a dedicated working environment to its 70-plus tenants and carriers and was built on a “customer first” philosophy.
