Hunter Newby, CEO of Allied Fiber was interviewed at the Light Reading Packet Optical Transport Evolution conference, an event where he also spoke on a panel. In the interview, Hunter outlined the need for new dark fiber in the US and how Allied Fiber’s system will benefit equipment vendors with new technology such as 100G. Equipment vendors will benefit from new dark fiber as it is easily integrated with their systems and the new technologies they are developing. Hunter also gave an update on Allied Fiber and Phase I of its dark fiber system.
