NYI Welcomes DE-CIX Internet Exchange to its New York and New Jersey Data Centers [![NYI](https://blog.jsa.net/hs-fs/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/clients-NYI.png?width=200&height=200&name=clients-NYI.png)](https://blog.jsa.net/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/clients-NYI.png)[NYI](http://www.nyi.net)’s New York and New Jersey customers now have access to over 90 carriers, ISPs and content providers located around the world through the [DE-CIX](https://nyc.de-cix.net/products-services/) Internet exchange (IX). The IX offers broad and neutral connectivity with over 100 access points throughout the city, which enhances access for all clients through customized connectivity. New York City has become a vital interconnection hub for companies around the world. The addition of DE-CIX to NYI’s [999 Frontier](https://www.nyi.net/facilities/more/new_jersey) facility in Bridgewater, New Jersey and [100 William Street](https://www.nyi.net/facilities/more/new_york_city) facility in New York City further elevates the thriving interconnection ecosystem. The addition of the IX to the two facilities also enhances NYI’s ability to provide interconnection options to those requiring customized networks. The partnership will lower IP transit costs, optimize network performance and control and enhance the speed and reliability for NYI’s clients.[![DE-CIX_GERMANY_-_Switch_Rack_(6218137120)](https://blog.jsa.net/hs-fs/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/DE-CIX_GERMANY_-_Switch_Rack_6218137120.jpg?width=357&height=268&name=DE-CIX_GERMANY_-_Switch_Rack_6218137120.jpg)](https://blog.jsa.net/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/DE-CIX_GERMANY_-_Switch_Rack_6218137120.jpg) “Not only does NYI enhance DE-CIX’s reach, its New York and New Jersey facilities offer existing and future customers alike the capabilities that NYI has become known for over the past 20 years,” states Harald A. Summa, Chief Executive Officer of DE-CIX. “Its data centers are a one-stop shop for our customers, with the ability to provide the on-ground logistics and U.S.-based support staff required for an expanded international presence. NYI’s customer-centric approach, as well as its extensive management capabilities, provides the ideal environment to support the DE-CIX ecosystem.” Phillip Koblence, Chief Operating Officer for NYI, has been named to the Customer Advisory Board of DE-CIX North America (CAB), which provides a key link between DE-CIX and its North American customers.
